Build and publish your registration form
In this guide 4 sections
The registration form is what a family fills in to register a camper. CampRunner keeps one camper registration form for your camp, and families can’t register until it is published.
Open the form editor
On your dashboard, select Build form (or Review and publish if you have a draft) on the setup checklist. The editor has three views across the top: Edit, Preview and Logic.
Add your questions
- In Edit, add fields from the palette: short answers, choices, dates, uploads and more. Group related questions under sections.
- Select a field to change its label, help text and whether it is required.
- Use Logic to show a question only when an earlier answer calls for it, such as asking for allergy details only when a parent says there are allergies.
- Switch to Preview to see the form the way a parent will.
Publish
Select Publish update in the header. CampRunner checks the form first. A real problem, such as a field with no label or a test label like “asdf”, has to be fixed before the form can go live. Smaller things worth a second look, such as a field still using its default placeholder text, are listed so you can fix them or publish anyway.
Once the form is published, the step on your dashboard checklist is ticked and opening registration becomes available.
Good to know
- Families only ever see the published version. Edits you have not published yet stay private to your team.
- Publishing again replaces the live form for new registrations. Registrations already submitted keep their answers.
- Use Preview to walk through the form as a parent before you publish.
