Payment plans and autopay
In this guide 4 sections
A payment plan splits a session’s tuition into a deposit and dated payments. With autopay on, CampRunner charges each payment to the family’s saved card or bank account on its date, so nobody has to chase it.
Build a plan
- Open Registration, then Camper, and select the Registration Settings tab, with the session selected in the sidebar picker.
- Under Tuition & payment plan, set the tuition if you have not already.
- Add payments. The first is the deposit taken at registration; the rest are dated payments for the remainder.
- Keep going until the chip reads Scheduled for the full tuition, so every dollar is accounted for.
Families see these dates and amounts at checkout, and on their Payments page in the parent portal afterwards.
Autopay
Autopay is controlled in Finance, Settings, under Automatic Payments, and applies across every session. When it is on, each scheduled payment is charged on its due date.
If one family needs a pause, an admin can hold autopay for that camper or the whole family from their record, with a reason. Releasing the hold never back-charges what came due while it was on.
Remind families before each charge
Under Finance, Settings, Payment Reminders, turn on Email before each autopay charge. The family is told the amount and the card a few days ahead, and warned if the card expires first.
Good to know
- Scheduled payments wait until a camper is accepted. Nothing is collected for a registration that is still pending or waitlisted.
- Changing a plan does not re-charge payments already taken.
- Autopay is a camp-wide setting. Families do not turn it on or off themselves.
